Italian markets are a treasure trove of fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables, local cheese and cured meats, olives, plants/flowers, leather goods, shoes and clothes! All the markets below are reachable by local ferry. See the Travel and Transport section for more information.
Stresa	Friday morning - from June to August look out for the Mottarone stall selling blueberries, raspberries (and wild white raspberries) and blackberries from the slopes of Mottarone, Stresa. In the autumn they sell their own lardo, salami and sausages. Also look out for the local cheese stall just near the entrance to the market where you can try before you buy!
Baveno	Monday morning
Intra	Saturday all day - a large market which lasts all day. Intra also has a good range of shops in the centre
Pallanza	Friday morning
Cannobio	Sunday morning - this market is one of the biggest on the lake with hundreds of stalls lining the lakefront and attracts visitors from Switzerland
Luino	Wednesday all day - another of the big weekly markets which again attracts visitors from Switzerland
